Summary: Zepto Café, the 10-minute food delivery service by quick commerce unicorn Zepto, has reached 1 lakh daily orders. CEO Aadit Palicha announced that the service is nearing a $100 million annualised GMV run rate with a steady-state gross margin of 50%, making it 10% the size of top QSR chains in India. Previously clocking 30,000 daily orders, Zepto has been expanding rapidly by launching over 100 new cafés each month. Leveraging its dark store network and hyperlocal delivery model, Zepto Café is reshaping the quick food delivery market and challenging traditional QSR chains.

Quick commerce unicorn Zepto’s rapid expansion into the food delivery space is showing remarkable success, as its 10-minute food delivery service, Zepto Café, has reached a milestone of 1 lakh orders per day. CEO Aadit Palicha made the announcement on X (formerly Twitter) and LinkedIn, highlighting the platform’s impressive growth trajectory.

According to Palicha, Zepto Café is now nearing a $100 million annualized Gross Merchandise Value (GMV) run-rate while maintaining a steady-state gross margin of approximately 50%. The CEO noted that the platform has already reached 10% of the scale of some of the largest Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) chains in the country.

Previously, Zepto had been clocking over 30,000 orders per day, and Palicha had stated that the company was launching more than 100 new cafés each month. The exponential rise in orders signals a strong consumer demand for instant food delivery services, a segment that Zepto has aggressively pursued.

Zepto Café’s model is built on leveraging the company’s robust network of dark stores and hyperlocal delivery infrastructure to provide freshly prepared meals within minutes. This approach positions it as a formidable competitor in the fast-growing quick commerce sector, directly challenging traditional QSR chains and food delivery giants.

With this significant milestone, Zepto continues to redefine rapid food delivery, setting new benchmarks for efficiency and customer satisfaction in the Indian market. As the company scales further, its impact on the QSR and food delivery landscape will be closely watched by industry players and investors alike.
