Playful Banter as PM Modi Teases ‘Divyang’ Entrepreneur During Varanasi Interaction Varanasi (Uttar Pradesh): During an interaction with beneficiaries of the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra in Varanasi, Prime Minister Narendra Modi engaged in light-hearted banter with a ‘divyang’ entrepreneur, adding a touch of humor to the event.

As PM Modi inquired about the entrepreneur’s business, income, and the benefits derived from various central government schemes, the entrepreneur, who manages a business dealing with CSC and stationery items, mentioned the significant support received through the central government’s pension scheme.

When the Prime Minister playfully asked about the entrepreneur’s income, a hint of hesitation surfaced in the response. PM Modi, with a teasing tone, remarked, “Aapko lagega Income Tax bhejega Modi (You feel that Modi will send Income Tax after you),” injecting a moment of humor into the conversation.

Reassuring the entrepreneur, PM Modi quipped, “Don’t worry, Income Tax officials won’t come, but they will levy less tax.” The exchange left the entrepreneur expressing gratitude for the welfare schemes and expressing happiness at the opportunity to meet the Prime Minister.

As part of his two-day visit to his parliamentary constituency, PM Modi interacted with beneficiaries at stalls showcasing various schemes such as Ayushman Bharat Yojana, Ujjwala Yojana, PM SVANidhi Yojana, and Mudra Yojana. The Prime Minister also gathered feedback on the schemes from beneficiaries and interacted with schoolchildren.

Earlier in the day, PM Modi conducted a roadshow in the city and inaugurated Kashi Tamil Sangamam 2.0 at Namo Ghat. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, and other leaders attended the inauguration. PM Modi and CM Yogi administered an oath to the beneficiaries, emphasizing the goal of making India a developed nation by 2047. The visit also included an update on the progress of the Smart City project in Varanasi.
